How to treat customers like you don't value them at all.

Step 1) Strip away all of the features necessary in order for the community to have a fun, enjoyable, civilized, decent gaming experience.

Step 2) Force an extremely broken consolized matchmaking setup on us (even the Xbox community complains about the problems brought on by matchmaking)

Step 3) Intentionally and repeatedly con/scam your customers with half truths and false promises. Things like "CoD4 style dedicated servers confirmed" or "ranked dedicated servers confirmed" when they never had any intention of giving us REAL servers is blatant lying and scamming the customer

Step 4) Completely and totally ignore any and all feedback, complaints, discussions, etc, from one portion of the community (PC) while being active, communicative, and offering plenty of feedback from another portion (Xbox)

Step 5) Actively censor negative feedback of the game (primarly pre-release and right before DLC launch) in order to make the forum posts look good. ("should I buy it" threads are left with nothing but positive feedback to con more people into buying)

Formula seems to be working so far. Activision has lost well over half of the CoD playerbase on PC, and it continues to decline every day. Hell we just had a free weekend PLUS the first DLC launch and the playercount didn't even go up a full 5,000 players....  That is beyond pitiful for a CoD title, even MW3 spiked a good 15,000-20,000 players when the first free weekend and DLC hit.
